My name is Allison Kimmey and I want to show you how to Just Do You, Babe. As a size 20 myself, I want you to know that you can do it all, and have it all, right now…without changing your body or waiting on losing weight. From learning how to embrace your cellulite or tummy and showing you how to have fun dressing your body, to sharing my attempts at trying new things and tips on raising body confident children, it is my mission to empower and inspire you with every single post.

My career as a content creator and body positive influencer began over 5 years ago after leaving my position as a Marketing Manager for a start up plus size clothing brand and following my passion to empower teen girls through live workshops as part of a non-profit organization I started called GirlPhoria. Growing up I never saw myself represented in media, and that led to extreme self doubt, lack of confidence, and eventually manifested into body dysmorphia and orthorexia. No matter how hard I tried, I could not keep up with the pressure to make my body less than anymore.

I began sharing my ‘reverse transformation photos’ after going from a size 6 to 20 in a little over a decade in an attempt to make others feel less alone. I was shouting from every corner of the internet that I was HAPPIER in a FATTER body because I was no longer at war with myself. At the heart of it all, my greatest mission has been to empower women to love themselves, in order to be a conduit of self love for our next generation so that they may have a chance to navigate this world without putting their worth in their appearance.

Every day that I log on to my platforms, it is my greatest hope that even just 1 of my nearly 400,000 followers will experience that light bulb moment that life does not start after you lose weight, it’s happening right now, and it’s time to start missing out. I now work with brands that align with my inclusive and body positive message, as well as published a workbook for girls full of activities and affirmations for empowering strong, confident girls: “Empowered Girls”

I married my high school sweetheart just 1 day after he graduated college in June of 2008 and we headed off to our first adventure as a newlywed couple living in Germany. We had our two children while living there, Graham (11) and Cambelle (9). My husband, Ted, is now the Head Football Coach at the local high school in our quaint little beachside town on the east coast of Florida. We just recently bought our dream home and have been hard at work creating the perfect coastal cottage to raise our family in.
